Coral Restoration Week - October 2024

Last week, a group of students from the international school Hfarm joined us again to discover the coral reef and the beauty of the Maldives.

The 9 girls that came to visit us in Feridhoo, participated in the Coral Restoration Project Feridhoo with our Marine Biologist and learned about corals, restoration projects and threats to the coral reef.

The girls had the opportunity to try scuba diving for the first time and they were able to collect data from the nurseries and check the Coral Garden.

They also helped us cleaning the beautiful beach of Feridhoo, as part of the PADI Project Aware, contributing to spread consciousness regarding our Ocean.

With our staff, they also enojyed the snorkeling on the house reef, encountering reef wildlife and checking the health status of our corals.

In the afternoon they assisted to Marine Biology lessons and their enthusiasm for learning and saving the corals was refreshing!

We were so happy to have you here and we hope to see you soon, maybe underwater!

Next week another group of students will join, stay tuned for more activities!
