The more the merrier!

We are proud to announce that Coralive chose our project and our island to establish 5 new nurseries, that will give home to more than 2 000 fragments of corals.

The new structures host different species of hard corals of the genus Acropora and Pocillopora,

which create most of the reefs surrounding Feridhoo.

The goal of Coralive is to restore coral reefs around the world, raising awareness among local communities about the importance of protecting this fragile environment.

We are happy to be part of their plan and to contribute to maintain and control the nurseries and collect data about the mortality and the growth of the small fragments.

Our resident Marine Biologists will check and monitor the new nurseries, along with the ones already part of our Restoration Project.

We will check the growing of the corals every 3 months and we will keep you updated.

Stay tuned!
